The Lucky Ones
Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic ~ Dog Adoption

Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic

The Lucky Ones spay/neuter clinic is a not-for-profit operation, offering spay/neuter surgery for cats and dogs at a cost well below that of full-service veterinary clinics, specifically to encourage pet owners to have their pets fixed to help reduce pet overpopulation.

Why Spay/Neuter?

Please read the Humane Society of the United States articles on

You can find more information on our links page.

Minimum Age

Kittens and puppies must be at least 8 weeks of age and 2 lb weight. Numerous studies have found that there is little credence to the traditional belief that they should not be fixed until 6 months of age. Many reports can be found online, including the Winn Feline Foundation Report on Early Spay/Neuter in the Cat.

Blood Testing Requirements

Cats over 8 years, large-breed dogs over 4 years, and all dogs over 6 years, will require blood testing by your own vet prior to your surgery appointment. You will be given details when you make your appointment.
