Dog Adoption Program

Lucky Ones, Inc. rescues "at risk" dogs from the Southern Maryland Tri-County Animal Shelter (TCAS) located in Hughesville, MD. TCAS serves Charles, St. Mary's, and Calvert Counties. Dogs "at risk" are those that, for whatever reason (age, size, behavior, breed), have not been successfully adopted out of the shelter and are facing euthanasia to make room for more dogs. Our goal is to save these dogs from certain death and give them a chance to spend the rest of their lives with loving adopters.
